After lying a wreath in honor of all Chickasaw veterans, four Chickasaw WWII vets saluted the Tomb of the Unknown soldier, November 2009.This is a nationwide program for eligible Chickasaw veterans, 60 years of age or older. All applicants are included in a random drawing for an all-expense paid trip to Washington, D.C.
The Chickasaw Nation Division on Aging staff accompanies the selected veterans. The trip’s itinerary includes tours of all the major war monuments, Smithsonian Museum tours, a visit to Arlington National Cemetery, a tour of the United States Capitol and many other fun and exciting activities.
